Mohanad
I'm trying to partially tear a ground object (flat box) in vellum and so far i've managed to achieve the desired effect by using boolean subtracting a curve, except that now it appears hollow without the internal "bridge" between the border edges. Polybridge works manually for the most part but I would rather achieve this in a more procedural manner. I have attached an image and a hip file. vellum tearing.hipnc
Noobini
now why would you go and make life harder for yourself ? here: ( I left a 2nd way to get thickness in there...but the 1st is best i reckon) vu_vellum tearing.hiplc

It's a lifestyle Thanks for the tip, I didn't know you could add thickness in post! However I probably wasn't clear enough, the grid with the polyextrude was a placeholder for geometry that already comes with thickness and I need to cut it procedurally. Here's the same file with a geometry that perhaps better represents my problem vu_vellum tearing01.hiplc
