Visibility Node Removes All Groups

I'm having issues setting materials to my models eyes, as it's two layers of geo stacked on top of eachother (The first layers is just for reflections, the 2nd is the eye textures).

Naturally, I would expect to use the visibility node to hide the first layer of geo, so I can apply my textures to the group under it, but when I use the visability node, when I go back to my materials it destroys all my groups.

Here's what my groups look like without the visibility node, making materiel selection as expected:

Now when I add the node:

All my groups are gone... so now I'm not able to apply the materials OR hide the groups I'd like. Can anyone help?

it doesn't show groups just 3d connectivity option that you can use regardless of whether the groups are present or not, just pick 3D connectivity from the cog menu

but I'd advise you to have some stable name attribute or at least class attribute generated by connectivity node and select using that, otherwise it will just fill your group fields in material node with prim numbers

Yeh, I'll go ahead and rename everything soon, was just toying around with importing from Maya. I did select 3D connectivity, but the list seemed like it was still blank.

I take that back. It seemed like it populated but it just took some time.

Thanks!
