ThomasEnglish Posted July 11, 2020 Share Posted July 11, 2020 I installed the demo of Redshift into Houdini 18.0.499 Since then if I try to use Mantra I get this error: (127) Couldn't load C:/PROGRA......./dso/mantra/TIL_DeonoiseOptixGI.dll. Missing symbol registerProcedural This has also effected every installation within my Launcher but my original 18.0.391 I first installed seperate to the launcher is fine. I really don't know where to start debugging this! The issue is too that when I set off a render in Mantra it now has this pop up every single frame and won't move onto the next frame until you have clicked it out. Grische Posted October 1, 2020 Share Posted October 1, 2020 (edited) @ThomasEnglishThe issue comes probably from the environment variable `HOUDINI_DSO_ERROR` in your houdini.env file. It is sometimes set by external software like Redshift. If you are still using Houdini 18.0.x, you can find the file in the path %HOMEPATH%\Documents\houdini18.0\houdini.env Just open the path %HOMEPATH%\Documents\houdini18.0 with your Windows Explorer, open the file houdini.env with a text editor of your choice, and remove the HOUDINI_DSO_ERROR line.
