Eyeracker
Hello Everyone, How can I add new location links to the open menu in Houdini? I know that you can add locations with the '+' sign, but it's confined to a specific project only. So is there a way to add it as a global variable? vicvvsh
Hi, plus button "Add Selected Directory to Favorites" in Open, Save, Import, (etc) windows creates a permanent link to directory, at least it works like so for me.
Eyeracker
Hello vicvvsh, Thank you for the reply. But is there a way to make a directory in the $FOLDERNAME format? like $HIP, $JOB etc.
vicvvsh
You can define directory in houdini.env file, i.e.: MYDIR="/path/to/your/folder" since that you can using variable $MYDIR like $HIP, $JOB etc. Or you can use packages https://www.sidefx.com/docs/houdini/ref/plugins.html Edited August 9, 2021 by vicvvsh
