Retiming a cache with Falloff

Hey so I have this sim that is cached as one large sim but I have a class attribute for each cluster (see picture).
I want to offset the playback using a falloff to drive the timeshift. I have tried doing this in a for each loop and with "setprimintrinsic" but it just ignores me and carries on animating as it was.

Has anyone else had this problem?
