Map density to color gradient in the Stage's material library

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I'm trying to map a volume density to a color gradient in the Stage's material library. But it doesn't work so well.

As far as what I've understood, the left side of the gradient is the low density. The right side of the gradient is the high density. Did I get this right?

Please check the attached pic. In the top left part, one can see the gradient is not well spread over the density. I don't get the pure yellow color on my volume.

So I tried to input the density into a MTLX range, typing in the min max of the density. But the result is even worse: check the bottom left part of the pic.

Should I convert the density float into a color? How? What am I doing wrong?

Thanks and see you soon,

GZ
