Quick USD help?

Recommended Posts

Hey,

I'm new to USD and Solaris workflows, my goal is to export my scene to Blender via USD.

I have a light in the Object context that has its intensity being driven by a parameter coming from a MOPs Sequencer node inside of a Geo node.

When I move into Solaris to try and export using the USD Rop, I get a warning message:

"Layer saved to a location generated from a node path", and in the files, its splitting the light and the Geo node into two separate USD files, and breaking the parameter links.

I tried enabling "Flatten File Layers" and "Flatten SOP Layers" on the USD Rop node before exporting.

Do I have to use Solaris to export USD with things in the OBJ context? Or is there a work around?

I've tried creating an object network inside of the Geo node and exporting, but that was unsuccessful as well.

Any insight would be appreciated, Thanks!
