Bernard Posted May 22, 2007 Share Posted May 22, 2007 Hello, I have a Grid SOP connected with a Scatter SOP. When I append a Point SOP and "Add normals", and display them I see NO point normals. When I 'bypass' the Scatter SOP, I do see the point normals (all the Grid points...) graham Posted May 22, 2007 Share Posted May 22, 2007 The normals are there, however they have no direction (0,0,0), so you don't see them. This is caused by the fact that the points are not actually a surface and Houdini doesn't really know what direction all the points should be facing. If you change $NX $NY $NZ to be 0 1 0 you will get your standard upwards facing normals. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
