Rafal_Kaczmarek
Hi all! I'm having this weird popping issue that is clearly visible especially on a chest part. Has anyone experienced that at some point? I have literally tried everything and by everything I mean every single option that is available in vellum solver and vellum cloth conf. Substeps and constraint iterations don't help at all. Collision passes, don't help at all. There is no forces except gravity. Changing friction doesn't help. Tweaking mass and thickness don't help. Tweaking bend and stretch stiffness/damping/rest length don't help! Changing cloth scale doesn't help. Remeshing doesn't help. Changing objects scale up to 100 doesn't help. Cloth itself is a one sided piece of geo without intersections. There is a gap between cloth and collision source, so there is enough room for vellum. I'm running out of options here. Has anyone experienced that? Could it be a bug? houdinifx_YR6S0pOF7w.mp4
hannes603
maybe try velocity damping or increase collision passes in solver sometimes it can help Edited February 3 by hannes603

Sometimes tightening up the cloth’s tension around the chest area with more pin constraints or tweaking bend stiffness could help prevent stretching. It could also be a solver bug or instability, so testing in a new Houdini file or making sure you’re on the latest version might help. Lastly, playing with small forces like wind or noise might help distribute tension more evenly across the cloth.
