Fakit
Hello all, Is there a way to use the "new" SOP Flip, to have a FLIP sim merge with an Ocean spectrum/evaluate ? I watched a lot of tutorials and often, they are using the shelf tools (Guided Ocean Layer) with the DOP method. Even if this method is great and well documented, I find it... kind of hard for beginners. A lot of nodes, pre-made setup, DOP, etc... On sideFX, there's this : https://www.sidefx.com/docs/houdini/fluid/sopconfigocean.html So, the flip sim is taking the shape of our spectrum. Kind of cool. But how to "merge" that with a spectrum. I don't expect a full tutorial/explanation on this obviously. But if you have any clue on potential tutorial or reading out there, let me know Thank you! Have a good day
paranoidx
there are couple tutorials on youtube -> how to "merge ocean with flip tank", or "make ocean infinity" or "blending ocean with flip" Also shelf tool "Ocean" -> "Ocean Flat Tank" has pre-setup for the ocean merging workflow which you can look for inside of "flattank_fluid_extended", the content inside will help you in practice how will that setup. Tutorial: or this:
