How to soft move just a part of a geometry without modifying the rest?

Hello! Look at my screenshot because it will be easier to understand...

How can I soft move only the line under the green arrows without modifying the rest of the geometry??

I already tried Soft transform, and the soft radius parameter of an Edit node, but I don't now how to work only with this specific line... Have you an idea?

Thanks a lot in advance!

Can you group SOP the points of interest before the edit ?

It can help to to do in the SOP that creates that geometry if possible; for example, if it's done in Sweep/  Ribbon, you can set attributes on points that records the rows and columns (Sweep / UV and Attributes / Output / ptcol); or any other way, as long as the moving points are grouped.

SOP Edit the geometry as if you were editing just those points.

Then you SOP Blendshape the two geometries, first input  is the initial geo, second input is the edited geo, set the group to the group you created earlier, and the blend to 1.

Hi, Blend shape node? It's more to "morph" different geometries no? And even that, you need the final shape to do the blending...

But I found a way, even if it's not very handy... I placed a tube with the good radius, and I used it to project the points with a Ray node on the tube! A bit weird but it works...

If you have a better (or easier!) way, let me know please... ;-)
