Alles Kleber
Hi guys, stupid question. How do I pick up the particle color in a VEX shader? Pretty new to Houdini thinking I can't make the connection between the Cd attribute, what I think is the particle color, at the geometry level and the rendering side of things. Some rough direction or quick keywords what to look for would be much appreciated. Hope you don't mind. Particle_Color.hipnc

Alles Kleber
http://odforce.net/wiki/index.php/Frequent...29_attribute.3F Thanks Edward. I have a factory VEX Decal working now. It seems, at least in Houdini 9, you also have to add the (renamed) attribute name to the Mantra Sprite Procedural's Attributes field. Took a bit to find. Thanks again. Alles Kleber
Add it to the wiki. Will do. I'm dabbeling with this in my freetime and I found that if you build your shader in the VEX Builder you can just add Cd to the Attributes field and then pull it from a Parameter node that is named Cd. Give me a bit to make sure I'm not posting something improper to the wiki.
Alles Kleber
Nothing fancy, just a working version of the above scene. Particle_Color_wkn.hipnc [kw]: particle color attribute Cd Alpha mantra sprite procedural shader
