crunch
is there a way to create a camera in python and then turn on it's roto tab? I'm not 100% sure, but you might try obj = hou.node('/obj') cam = obj.createNode('cam') hou.hscript('opproperty %s viewport viewport_roto') might do the trick. I cheat though and use the hscript opproperty command.

Jason
error...what is %s? >>> hou.hscript('opproperty %s viewport viewport_roto') ('', 'No nodes match %s\n') >>> hou.hscript('opproperty /obj/cam1 viewport viewport_roto') works just fine.... thanks! He probably meant to finish the code properly like this: obj = hou.node('/obj') cam = obj.createNode('cam') hou.hscript('opproperty %s viewport viewport_roto'%cam.path())
