sisqosnew
There's a Light Template in H9. Somebody told me this node can link Prman Light shader, but it didn't work in rendering. (Q)How do I apply Prman Light shaders for Lights in H9? Thanks for your reading. Edited January 23, 2008 by sisqosnew
symek
You don't have to use PRMan light shader with default lights at all. This will happen automagically. Also shadow setup is respected both for Mantra and PRMan. Unless you have good reason no need to use template. Just be sure to setup HOUDINI_DEFAULT_RIB_RENDERER for yours. hope this helps, sy. sisqosnew
I've checked what you said. Setuping HOUDINI_DEFAULT_RIB_RENDERER is for 3Delight. My renderer is Prman 12.5, but the common point light and spotlight can work directly without any shaders as you said. After test, Environment light can't work in Prman rendering. Do you find that? symek
Haven't tried this. But this is very probably that environmental light implemented in Houdini is special feature of mantra that hasn't straight equivalent i8 PRMan.
