stevenong
Hi everybody! This is my first render with houdini. I would like to add a volume light coming from the top right but I don't know how to do it yet.... hope you like ti!!! C&C welcome of course!! Hi,First of all, welcome to od[forum]. I'm not sure if the water is adding to the image or subtracting from it. IMHO, I think it subtracts from it as it's kind of distracting with the rough edges. My eyes keep going to them than the spray cans. Also, what is the resolution of the texture map you're using? It looks really soft. Else, you can increase the Shading Quality (Render > Dicing tab) of the Object to get a sharper image. Are you rendering with depth of field? The nozzle of the spray can in the middle looks out of focus. Or is it just my eyes? Overall, the image looks good. With regards to the volumetric light, someone on the SESI forum asked about the effect & another user kindly posted a hip file. You should check it out. Cheers! steven
Davide
I know, the water is too sharp and clear. It's just a basic liquid shader on a nurbs and you're right, is very distracting. Yes I used the depth of field but the nozzle should be on focus. Probably I set the distance wrong!! Thanks for the feedback! I hope I'll be able to post a lot more interesting stuff as long as my program goes on!! Cheers!! Ciao!!!
