mattd
http://www.cebasusa.com/m_o_v_e_e/RifTPSigg/RifTPSigg.html looks like they have made some interesting tools here for max users. At first glance I do not see anything that cannot be done it DOPS, but I am curious how you guys see it. and yes, that is a pretty light mesh, but hey, it's a demo. one question though, I think he mentions that the mesh was prefractured using 'gardenmaker' (if that is what he said) Anyone know this? It would be great to see some pseudo code on that algorithm I have been trying to make a simple tesselation like on that object (A 2 tesselation, not a solid fracture like discussed in another thread) and I am not getting the results I would like. Simply perturbing the points on a mesh is too regular, and trying to do any fuse operations, lysytems, and ray SOP ends up some bad polys here and there. kumpa
haha, no offense, but those guys still have a lot to discover to catch up with sidefx
edward
I have sound off but does that grid look like its cut up by the Cleave SOP? Nah, it looks better.
kumpa
better it may look, but unlike houdini i guess this is pretty much the only way you can have it, like it or not
