cloudfx
Hi all, I was trying to write cache and read it so that I dont have to re-cache my particles everytime I close and open the houdini file. I had cache writer sop and reader sop andI set the path and name right. but it seems like its doing nothing. Can somebody show me how to use it properly? Thanks, Edited June 5, 2008 by Jae Yoo
aracid
Howdy I think good practice is using the ROP SOP and FILE SOP, ROP SOP - writes the bgeos out to disk File sop - reads them in hope that helps

Jason
You can also just use the File SOP for this. There are now options to Read/Write .bgeo files in the File SOP. However, for particles caches it's often more managable to do what aracid says:)
