thrasherstudios77
Hey Well this is how it is progressing so far. I finally got the beginnings of the wings done. I still have alot more tweaking to do on the entire model, got to figure out how the hell I am going to do those feathers on the wings, and maybe tweak the proportions here and there. Over all I am happy how it is coming out. Please feel free to critique the model I could use all the help I can get, any eagle experts out there! thanx Ben

michael
I love the feet the shoulder looks too thick though...but I guess that will depend on the way you do the feathers...
thrasherstudios77
Thanks for the feedback Actor- I am eventually..well hopefully going to have the entire model unwrapped (UV's ) and brought into Photoshop to do displacement maps for all the feathers on the model exect for the lower wing feathers, not shown in the picture. The shoulder should thin out ounce the maps are there, but if I can't figure out a good way to displace the feathers I agree the shoulders look a bit thick. cs00bren
have you thought about entering this in the apprentice comp. if think it's well worth a place in any ones book. hows the feather ideas going on. you could cheat, as you will have it unwrapped in photoshop you could get pictures of real feathes and make a decent diffuse map. bren. thrasherstudios77
bren- I think I will enter the contest but not under modeling more of an effects guy, or atleast want to be done the road, what I am actually doing is my demo reel. Originally I was going to do it in Maya but had always wanted to learn Houdini, and with being at Jason Busby's (3D Buzz) school and having him to help me learn Houdini and all the support from Side FXs, and odforce it seemed to be the time to learn it. Thank you for the feedback
