thinkinmonkey
Hi all, I'm a new Houdini user and I'm discovering the power of this application dreaming a day to work with ! So I've studying some tutorials taken by sidefx. Now I have problem and I don't know how to solve. I have a simple grid that I want to displace with a VOPSOP operator driven by an image, what I need is to displace phisically points, so not in rendertime, because I need to know their positions for a next step in my little project. I've created a UVTexture to set UV and a simple material. Then I've created the VOPSOP node using a tutorial about creating elevation map, but my node doesn't work: i think it's about uv, but I'm not sure. I've attached my working file so I hope it could be usefull for everyone who wants to help me. Thanks in advance. GallenWolf
change the uv from caps to lower case i.e. UV to uv in your parameter vop reading in UV.
thinkinmonkey
GallenWolf, REALLY THANKS !!! It works ! I'm not sure why the uppercase was the problem, I could think Houdini will automatically find a vector node with "uv" as parameter name to take uv from the mesh: god, one day I have to read the manual instead to start with projects ! Thanks again. Michael
