H9.1 and H9.5 - error: Unable to load texture

Recommended Posts

I have a scene - created in Houdini 9.1. When I open the file in Houdini 9.5 and try to render - I get for 2 objects a "Unable to load texture"-error.

The path for the texture in my "VEX Super Material" is: $HIP/tex/texture.png

There are no spaces or special characters in the path- and filename. All works fine in H9.1. Any idea?

System: WindowsXP with H9.1.246, H9.5.168 and H9.5.199

BTW: No problem in the viewport with the textures - correct display

Are perhaps experiencing the same bug as this post? http://forums.odforce.net/index.php?showtopic=7673

I get this a lot of times. Usually this happens with any image file as of late. The workaround that works for me if the problem is the same thing. I go to the render menu--->mplay--->load files, load in my texture files, and resave them out as .pic, or if its a HDRI as a .rat. The usually work after that.
