v_m
hi there out there can anyone shed some light on this subject please - what's the deal with displacement bounds and reflection/refraction limits in Houdini? I see there are properties operators inside materials, but they don't seem to be linked to anything... (?) what am I missing here? if I just copy a displacement-bounds properties operator and paste it inside my own shader, it does its job ok, but why? now I need both displacement-bounds and raytracing-limits properties inside my shader, and I wonder how these properties work... I guess it's not enough to just make some empty parameters called "Reflect Limit" and such... thanks! vm
anim
maybe you can take a look at docs under Rendering/Properties it can give you the idea of what it is and when/how to use it
