thekenny
Anyone try to make a selection of points on a model and try to use the RMB option to Flatten selection on the construction plane with a soft radius? Shouldn't the soft radius still have an effect and the remainder of the geomtery?.. I think it should but it appears it isn't.. most likely as the transform isn't part of the handle. too bad. if I get a confirmation I'll log it as a bug. thx Version 9.
thekenny
Rant begins.... Okay here's another annoying one.... in edit mode you are selecting pts and you change the handle to just be transforms, you move and make another selection the handle resets to the full jack. Something in the translation from 8 to 9 has been lost. be nice to have a consistent handle performance while in a editSOP. End of Rant I know.. I know... slow easy breathing......and report it to SESI.. (sigh) -k
Mario Marengo
if I get a confirmation I'll log it as a bug. Confirmed (9.5.264) -- I know it won't help with the frustration, but there you go ... translating with the jack and snap-to-grid ('x') respects the soft radius, but I know that's not what you're after... Mario Marengo
Okay here's another annoying one.... In case you're submitting RFEs/BUGs, here's another one: Toggling "Follow Group" (RMB on handle) doesn't have any effect -- it always follows the group no matter what. stevenong
I just tried Flatten Selection to C-Plane on Tuesday but without Soft Radius. I kept selecting the option & nothing happened. I asked a colleague & he asked if I clicked on the Commit Transform/Peak Changes and as soon as I clicked on it, the geometry updated. I remember you don't have to click on the button ever for the function to work. I wonder if there's some update issue with the Edit SOP? 9.5.230 64bit, SuSE 9.3 Cheers! steven
