I have a very simple set-up: particles with metaballs copied onto them, Polygons as metaballs enabled, and Billowy Smoke applied on the object level. However, when I render it with deep shadows, I see some weird flickering on the smoke. I turned off the animated noise on the billowy smoke, but the flickering is still there. stevenong Posted November 6, 2008 Share Posted November 6, 2008 Hi Luka, It's best if you can post a video for us to look at. Else, check the resolution of your deep shadow maps (1024x1024 is recommended) and make sure your light is framing the volume nicely. Do you mean "Metaballs as Volume" enabled instead of "Polygons as metaballs"? Last but not least, what version are you using?
