Nerox
Guy's I'm working on a fluid simulation of a mercuri like liquid. I've been testing on it, but in my opinion I'm missing Cohesive Strength which should it make look less like a water type of liquid. Browsing the help learns that it probably could be solved by using a Gas Sand Forces Dynamics Node as a microsolver. Sofar I haven't find any example files or topic's about this. Basically I don't know how to implement this Gas Sand solver. I hope you can point me in the right direction, or just give me a hint on which way to go. Thanks a lot in advance, I appreciate it. stevenong
Sounds like you're referring to this tutorial: http://www.3dworldmag.com/page/3dworld?ent...ld_98_s_houdini Coincidently enough, someone over at the SESI forum just asked about it. http://www.sidefx.com/index.php?option=com...&highlight= Not sure what you're using but you can turn on Viscosity on the Fluid Solver or the Particle Fluid Solver to make the fluid behave like mercury. Cheers! steven

Cheers! steven Yes I know, but that doesn't exactly what I want. The cohesiveness of water is different to Mercury. Water reacts like this: Mercury reacts like this: Particle based liquid in Houdini always seems to react like a water type, so I was thinking if I'm able to bring the cohesiveness in from the sandsolver it could solve the issue. Nerox
Maybe this topic belongs in the Effects section, but anyway. I think I didn't really explained what I would like to know, so here we go: I'm not sure if it will work, but: - Is it possible to connect a gas sand solver to a existing liquid solver? Due to get beter mercury like behaviour, according to cohesion - How does it work and how can I implement this?
