Each copy to have a different transformation

Just a short question

I have a geometry node plugged into a Copy SOP. I would like each copy to have a different transformation - but not Cumulative. So each copy's translation is dependent on which number copy it is, i.e. the first copy is translated differently to the second and third but not in the predictable cumulative way.

I hope that clear, any help is appreciated.

Thanks

Hi there,

Sure thing ,

add a xform between the geometry and the copy node

in the copy node creat a stamp variable. example move value rand($CY)*2

That worked, great, although now I was hoping to take it a little further. I would like the geometry to sit on a grid, and let the piece of geometry take its position(x,y,z) from a randomly selected point on the grid. But still allowing me to copy the geometry and giving each copy a different translation - hope that makes sense.

Sorry to if I'm bothering people too much with this.

No problen , don't worry just glad to see someone learning this app.

I see you must be really new,

Do you know how the SCATTER SOP works.

I think this is the simplest way
