jonp
I've got a volume sequence of pre-existing simulation data that was computed outside of Houdini. I'd like to use the Vector Field visualization features of DOPs to render it. So far so good, I've brought it in as .geo volumes, and brought it into DOPs as a SOP Vector field Visualization. To view arbitrary frames, though, Houdini always wants to run-up the animation from the start frame to the current frame. Is there any way to disable this behavior so I can just see the SOP visualized at whatever frame I want?
sho
At very bottom of Simulation tab in dopnet object, there is "Timeless" option to turn off verbose cooking. I'm not sure if it works for your data type though...
jonp
Thanks! I'd overlooked the Simulation Tab... it works. melazoma
Hi jonp, Would you care to elaborate a bit on the type of data you were dealing with and how you turned it into .geo? I'm really interested in this type of workflow.
