Guest xionmark
Anyone successfully using Qube to render on a farm?? Yep, we had it running at Mainframe/Rainmaker. It's got a decent Python/C++ API if you need to customize/integrate your Houdini pipeline. Mark

static
We use Qube at the studio I work at as well. Recently got it set up to handle exporting geometry/ifds, running POP/DOP sims, and spawning mantra renders. Good piece of software and simple to use. thekenny
be prepared to do some database management based on how it handles the work , IF you intend to use any reporting method /stats based on how it handles/generates data... invest in a kick a@#$! server for the supervisor as well. don't skimp. cluster management works, it would ideal to have a more dynamic layer on top of what exists...like the db stuff it just depends on what is important to you. all that being said, it works lots of frames go through. -k
