stevenong
Hi jacys, It looks pretty good but there's a pop at the end. Can you post a flipbook version of just the particles so we can take a look? Can you also increase the shadow density a bit more? I expect the shading to have a bit more contrast from the sun. I hope with the increase in shadow density we'll get a bit more detail. Keep it up! Cheers! steven

stevenong
Hi jacys, Make sure you're happy with the display of the particles & geometry and in the bottom left of the viewport, there are two icons. The top icon is for generating flipbooks and the other is for rendering with a ROP. Click on the Flipbook icon, set up the frame range if you need to and click Accept. Here's the Flipbook help page. Also, I highly recommend you go through the Houdini basics. You can either go to the Help Documentation at SESI's site or go to Help menu > Houdini Help when you have Houdini opened. Check out the Basics link to get you started and also this Learning Roadmap page. Cheers! steven

jacys
http://www.vimeo.com/4255938http://www.vimeo.com/4255988 mirror here. http://forums.odforce.net/index.php?showto...l=sand&st=0 this topic have a good idea I wanna add. but I am not sure how to make particles collision self? or they were replaced by some small objects? Are these two different way all could make it happen? I tried to make something like it in my project, but I can not make them be influenced by forces, such as wind. If I use particle and replaced by an object, then I notice their edges never collision each other. If I use DOPs and make an object creates objects by expression in "creation frame", such as " if($FF%10==0,$FF,0) ". They just have a great collision but no force can influence themselves. They run like a robot. How come ? and what should I do?
