ACM SIGGRAPH presents A presentation and screening of X2: XMen United Hosted by Side Effects Software Tuesday May 20th 6:30-7:30pm Social Hour 7:30-10:30pm Presentation and Screening Location: Samuel Goldwyn Theater Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences 8949 Wilshire Blvd. Beverly Hills, CA 90211 between Doheny Dr. and Robertson Blvd Use the parking facilities at 8920 Wilshire (enter from La Peer Dr. or the alley) or 9025 Wilshire (enter from Wetherly). This event is free to L.A. SIGGRAPH members and $10 for non-members. As one of the most anticipated summer releases, X2: XMen United opened this month to the biggest worldwide boxoffice return in history. Our meeting will feature "making of" presentations of the film's visual effects as well as a special screening of the movie. Artists from Cinesite and Rhythm & Hues will be on hand to discuss the creation of innovative effects from Nightcrawler's teleportation to Storm's tornado's.
