Macha
I try to make a deformation permanent. (an object is impacting into the ground) I have 2 ray SOPS on a ground-plane. One is pushing the geometry inwards (impact trail) and the other upwards (earth pushed up and sideways). To make it permanent I use a CHOP network. So far so good BUT it only works for one of the deformations, not for the other and I wonder why. How can I make the inwards and outwards deformation persistant? digging_export.hipnc
anim
it is the Envelope CHOP which is causing this, because it is set to Minimum Values, so it is keeping the lowest y value you can branch the second envelope from the shift1 CHOP set to Maximum Values and add them together with Math CHOP note that this will work only for your example, where initial y value is 0 in more complex situations you will need to use more math to make it work or you can allways use sop solver DOP Edited June 29, 2009 by anim
Macha
add them together with Math CHOP Thanks Anim, that makes sense and it worked.
