Macha
How can I do this in Houdini? The yellow bone is position constrained to the top green bone. I tried parenting, fetching, riveting, using origin()... Edited July 16, 2009 by Macha
anim
maybe if you describe your problem a bit more because this is pretty straightforward in houdini with any of the techniques you described that it is difficult to imagine what your problem can be but maybe you are refering to the thing that if you parent root of the second bone chain to the last bone of the first and zero out its translates it will jump to the root of the last bone not at the tip you just need to offset the tz by -length of the last bone or put a little expression to there like to do it automatically for you
anim
oh, now i see you want to constrain the position only the image wasn't moving in thumbnail parent null to the tip of your first chain append blend object and turn off RX,RY,RZ,SX,SY,SZ buttons on it parent second chain to this blend object Edited July 16, 2009 by anim
