vfxkid
i am a pretty noob in houdini, - i am having some facet orientation problem and wondering if the object can be brought back to to its original shape. - not sure what is the cause of each prim change in size and orientation. - i tried deleting normals with attribute sop but it still kept the primitive normals. Is there anyway to manipulate prim normals like point normals. any help would be appreciated thanks notworking.hip
Div
I don't understand what do you want to do : your model just works fine and there is no facet orientation problem with it, before your add your nodes... What is your goal ?
Owl
vfxkid, your fuse distance threshold is too high Edited July 30, 2009 by Owl
vfxkid
last primitive 7 node at the end of the tree (not imported geo). The primitive surfaces all look weird on my houdini for some reason. i just want the car to look normal after i broke up the section into smaller surfaces. thanks
stevenong
Hi vfxkid, Like Owl said, your fuse threshold was too high. For the setup to work, you have to have the same number of points as primitives. If you middle click on your Fuse SOP, you'll see you have less points than primitives. If you reduce the threshold to 0.0001, you'll see your car. Cheers! steven
