Houdini in Japan

Does anybody know if and where Houdini is used in Japan, particularly in the eastern Kinki-Kansai part? Capcom and Nintendo are potentials but as far as I know they don't use it. Quite in general I get blank stares followed by "ooooh" and "aaah" when I mention Houdini.

I wonder if I should build a Houdini reel, if it is in use at all.

Yes, I should try it but I think that forum is pretty dead and many of the very few posts are just announcements. Surely, there must be effects work going on here somewhere!

Or...hmmm...very likely they do their FX the good old time tested Japanese way: painting every pixel by hand with MSPain in endless non-paid overtime nights!

At the top right of the main menu bar on sidefx.com is a link to our japanese reseller. This company would probably love to hear from you to have a Houdini user they can talk to help studios that are getting set up with Houdini. Are there any contact links on that page or elsewhere on the Indyzone site? if not then i will find out if there is another site you should be visiting.
