Using properties option on mantra node

Recommended Posts

Unforunately, not quite. The properties overrides only work the other way 'round. ie, Primitive properties override Object properties, which override Camera properties, which override ROP properties. So, for example: if you had a Material property on your ROP, every object in your scene which doesn't have a Material property would use the ROP's assignment. (You'd have to remove the Material property from the Objects which you want to inherit the ROP's property)

It has been a feature spoken about for quite a while to be able to reverse this order but there currently isn't a way to do it.

Thanks for the explanation.

I am asking this because some time ago I saw a tutorial on the digitaltutors site, when some tutorials were free, where it explains how to override all the materials from the scene using the properties SHOP node and the properties options on mantra node, so he was able to make all materials be overriden by a show normals materials using this technique.

Anyway thanks for the feedback.
