krot
Does anybody know how to advect polygonal geometry (not POPs) with liquid fluid solver and how to restrict this advection by some vector (e.g. use just vertical motion) p.s. sorry for my English
Jason
Does anybody know how to advect polygonal geometry (not POPs) with liquid fluid solver and how to restrict this advection by some vector (e.g. use just vertical motion) p.s. sorry for my English You can try use the Embed In Fluid Shelf Tool, at least to see how that sets it up. You'll see that it uses the Gas Advect DOP against the Geometry subdata. As for modifying the vel field before advecting the geometry (as there seems to be no way to do it a single operation), you could look at making a copy of it (with the Gas Match Field DOP) and running that through a Gas Field VOP where you can do whatever you like to the vel field copy. Good luck, Jason PS. It does seem like a very simple and potentially useful thing to have direct control for right there on the Gas Advect DOP, no? Perhaps you could RFE it here?
