I am having trouble getting noise working with my pyro sim in Houdini 15 with the new pyro 3 shader. I might be doing in wrong. I have enabled rest field in both my pyro solver and in my pyro object node.

After enabling noise to my Fire Intensity Field, I get no noise even when I have dual rest fields. I have tried this for the Fire Temperature field as well. I have attached my renders with and without noise, my settings, as well as my hip file. M y goal is to get some more small color variations in my explosion post-sim.

Try turning on the gain and putting it up to 1 or more. This will add contrast to the noise so should show up a bit more. Also your frequency is too high, making the noise way too small to see. Try about 1.5 in the frequency. Also I like Sparse convolution noise :)

Another question. How would I increase/decrease the amount of noise that I am applying. I have my mode to Scale.

Mess around with the Output Correction stuff. If you are using the scale mode then you want your noise to be closer to 1 to reduce the effect. Setting the output range to 0.5 and 1 should give you half the noise, assuming you had noise going from 0-1 to begin with.
