shadow catcher mantra (no composit)

Recommended Posts

Well, the background image is a HDRI so it looks weird to see the full latlong image.

Render light geometry on the enviroment does what i need but it makes the shadow matte material black.

The shadow matte seems to work in alpha but in de RGB i get a black grid

With background image turned on you also cant orbit around like in the enviroment light

Thanks Carlo,

But I think thats not the good way to go. (I think)

If you need to match the shadows / with a backplate you would like to be interactive and see the changes directly. rendering out render passes is a second task.

So there isnt any way to do in mantra like Vray or Arnold can?
