How to do persistant data in vex

you cannot do it directly in SOPs because data is not fed back by default as in simulation environment like POPs or DOPs

but there are some ways to do it

the most versatile solution is the SOP solver DOP

but for the simple things you can also use CHOPS to accumulate values with Area CHOP

or you can make particles stop on the grid so they will affect it permanently

or there is proto installable Feedback SOP (at least in H9.5), but it is kind of the same as SOP solver DOP, but directly in SOPs
