You can use $WEDGENUM, so it should work with a simple wedge setup, But I don't know if you link 2 wedge node together.

I was looking for the same and just by setting "use Point velocity attribute" inside the point replicate procedural it works. (of course you need to set a v attribut into your point object (and so increasing his value ) ).
