  1. Hi, I have been using the RBD material fracture node just to create a simple glass shatter effect in Houdini (v18.5.462). Whenever I reopen the file I am getting "Load warnings and There are either Synchronizing child node" or "Skipping unrecognized parameter" node error". Nothing has changed between when I have created the file and reopened it. Not sure why is it happening. Does anyone has any clue about this? 2. Hi, I crated a sphere and modified it by mountain then I used the clip SOP. After that I used the polypill SOP then I wanted to fracture the result via RBD Material Fracture but I got no error or warning also the clipped spere are not fractured. What is the reason for? THX
  3. Hi All, Relative noob here looking for a way I might fracture a cylindrical piece of geometry to look like broken/splintered branch. Following Varomix's otherwise very informative tutorial ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Er9BDDzZHQ ) I can control other aspects of the grain and clustering, but in my case it would be ideal to be able to fracture radially along the y-axis of the cylinder, along the lines of the 'glass' preset, while also being able to do the 'splinter' fractures that bisect along the x and z, which the 'wood' preset allows. Per the screenshot attached, I more or less get the splintering I'm after but grain only slices along a single axis which I'm hoping to make look more radial. Does anyone have any tips for something like this? Would it make sense to run 2 RBD-Material-Fracture nodes one on top of the other, to get both types of fractures? Or is there another SOP or combo of SOPs that could hand Many thanks! NpF
  4. Hello, I'm trying to use the RBD Material Fracture technique to make a fracturing plane. I want to attach / parent animated spinning props to the deforming wing. I know this is probably really simple but I've been messing with this for a few days now an I'm pretty stumped. I've attched a demo file to illistrate what I mean. It would be prefered to have the props as fractured objects so they too can deform and collide with the body (tearing the side open). If that isn't possible I can alembic out the prop and use it as a coliding body, but getting the animated prop to stay attached to the wing is where my troubles lay. Any help would be really appriciated, thank you Prop_Spin_Question.hipnc
