i have a maya camera animation that i need to get into houdini. i have researched it, and there is talk about a 'chandump mel script' that needs to be used to get export the channels out of maya. the link to the script points here, but it is broken.

is there a new way of doing this? the info i have is about 5 years old.

thanks for the help,

d

Export camera to FBX in Maya, then import it into Houdini, works pretty good I found.

Cheers,

Carsten

Hi there,

I do not use maya. at the job we use xsi,

I did some cam export back and forth , the best was collada. you only hade to make a small adjustment in the

field of view FOV, manually , but it was the only way I got it working correctly.

I am sure collada is in maya,

Its really cool when you finally get it working
