SpencerL
hi everyone. i have a fluid container in my scene and i want to simulate fluids with resolution 300. but in frame 1 my computer crash and give me memory allocation error. i use 8core intel with 4gb ram, what should i do. 300 is pretty steep, is there a particular reason for such a high res? Im not surprised its crashing. Have you thought of taking a look at the up-resing technique?
Ratman
Besides the ridiculous step size, go to your top level of the dop node and make sure in the Simulations tab you turn up your ram limit.
edward
I also hope you're using an 64-bit OS.
imoh3n
thanks a lot for helpful answers. i want to simulate movement of ink in water or other things like that. i think i must use pyro to give me very nice details, but i don't know exactly how i do that. my first problem is render pyro like water ( a surface, not volume ). i new in Houdini and i sure have a lot of problems to make this effect. i hope if anyone can help me to solve my problem. this is examples of my reference.
