SWcoord
One of our users has requested that we install Bullet RBD DOP. I can't get approval on that until we review its licensing, but I can't seem to find any licensing info anywhere. Can anyone help, i.e. point me towards a url where the license can be found, pasting its text into this thread, anything. Thanks all. br1
I'm a bit sleepy right now but I'd check http://bulletphysics.com/ Did you already check the website ? br1
Ratman
Bullet Physics SDK is free to use, not sure about the DOP bullet source.
michael
the wiki makes it pretty clear that the Bullet DOP is Open Source http://odforce.net/wiki/index.php/BulletPhysicsRBDSolverDOP
SWcoord
There's no question that it's open source, but open source software generally has some form of legal language attached to it to ensure that it remains open source. e.g. the GPL, or a BSD style license, the MIT license etc. Isn't there anything like that associated with this? michael
Jason might have more information but I'll just offer this: Bullet is licensed under Zlib > http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zlib_license so it would be fair to assume (and again, better info might be forthcoming) that the Bullet ROP would inherit those license terms... SWcoord
Thanks for all of the input, everyone. This is still unresolved on my end. Any chance Jason will be around soon to add info, or can you help me get in touch with him? Edit: original requestor ended up evaling the code on his home system and determined it wasn't needed at this point. Thanks again all.
