CSN0309
Hi~ guys now i got a problem, i have written a custom displacement node in VEX networks, then i import it into the SHOP network and connect it to suboutput node. When i get the result of my scene by mantra, i was puzzled, there is no shading and lighting effects on my scene, but i did put a distant light in my scene and pointed to the object, and i did set up the light linker to connect the light and object. so~ why?? Thank you!
Ratman
Not a whole lot of info to go by, but do you have a lighting model vop in your surface shader?

TheAdmira1
can you upload your example? I dont really understand what you're asking? I see the lighting effects in both scenes? the only difference is that the Displacement made an ocean like ripple on the surface so the lights are reflecting off the ridges?
