CSN0309
hi~ guys Now i got a problem, i want to make an animation about a helicopter hovering over the water.I have a displaced water surface(a custom VEX shader), and i want to emit particles from this displaced surface just right below the helicopter. Has anybody knows HOW? Can i make collision with the displaced surface? Like this(i got this pic from google) Thanks Edited February 18, 2010 by CSN0309
michael
attach a sphere to the helicopter use the sphere as a bounding volume to create a group of prims on the water use the group to birth the particles this way you can change the size/shape of the sphere to create a larger/smaller area...or even distort the sphere with a mountain sop or something...should be pretty simple.... pclaes
Or you can render a pointcloud from a certain angle and get displaced scatterd points:
