jrgauthier
Hey guys, I've just updated a metallic paint shader I was working on for a while. I finally got the missing ingredient: sparkles! Thanks my colleague Nicolas Rous who found exactly what I needed. I'm also planning eventually to allow use of sprites to define sparkle shapes. Anyone as a clue how this could be achieved by the way? I was thinking spreading my sprites randomly using pointclouds, even thought I don't know how to use them properly yet. Any simpler ideas for the purpose? Here's the video! Edited March 16, 2010 by jrgauthier
J.Santos
Nice shader and video to show it off! Congratulations!
Chris3D
Very nice work on the shader. Curious question did you use the layered shader as a starting point?
mightcouldb1
I already said this on vimeo, but great job! The flakes worked out very nicely. Jason
jrgauthier
Thanks guys! Chris3D: I started the shader from scratch, no layered shaders involved.
