DOF and Stereoscopic Rendering

Recommended Posts

I want to use Depth of field on stereoskopic renderings, but somehow as soon as I turn on depth of field everything gets blown out in a huge depht of field effect. You can not see anything. when I put a normal camera in place wiht same settings I get a nice dof effect. unfortunately I'm not able to get it work with the stereo cam rig

any clues?

another question that rises, is it a good idea to have depth of field on stereoskope images, or does the dof effect destroy it?

thanks

Martin

hey i've experienced the same problem with DOF and s3d, the stereo camera doesn't seem to work with the same settings as a normal camera, you can get it to work but it requires totally different settings. i think this might be a question for SESI..

as far as DOF in stereo, yes it's still something you should use, but it think just with a little more care...
