How to create flare effect based on houdini particle??

hi guys

I got an assignment from my instructor, i have to make a C-130 to emit flares...God, i have no idea how to make this effect looks like real. right now i have the particle pattern already, but i don't know how to start in Shop network.... has anyone got idea? thanks

doing it in Mantra alone seems pretty pointless and overcomplicated, i suppose you could extract a volume from the brightest area and expand it a little and use some constant, emitting volume shader. or do it in cops and make it 100% easier

Hi!

There is a Lensflare Shader from the Austrian Company Camf Production ==> www.camf.com

It's for Houdini 8 I think, but it should still work! Look under Media/VEX Shaders! I tried it with H10 some time ago!
