I am trying to promote a parameter in the add node in VOPS in houdini 11.I see that there is nothing like a promote attribute button.

Please help me out

The easiest way to create a parameter is to just middle mouse on the input and select "promote parameter". You can manually create a parameter by creating a "parameter" Vop and wiring it into the input.

Hi, my guess is you're watching the same CMIVFX tutorial as I am. I'm sure you figured it out, but in case someone else has the same question, I found that by MMB-clicking on the unconnected Input 2 of the Add node and choosing "Create Parameter Node", the Input 2 parameter shows up on the VOP node. Don't know if this is the post-Houdini 9 way of promoting a parameter, but it seems to work.

why not have a promote instantly.... from whatever subnetwork you're in?
