chrisperry05
Hi, I have a really simple smoke simulation which i've advected some particles to. The problem is at random times during the render it will just crash? I tried a bit of sorting through and have narrowed it down to the advect pop that is causing it. If i turn off the particles and render the smoke it is fine? This is the first time i've tried using advection and i'm unsure if i've done something wrong which is causing the crash, any help would be really great. I've attached the .hip Thanks Chris

If I remember correct mantra errored out with "exit code 11". Update to latest build solved it.
chrisperry05
Hi, Thanks for the reply. I actually just managed to solve it, i changed the advection to "No threading" and it rendered through fine. I'm a bit of a noob so if anyone could explain to me why this was, would it be a RAM issue? Thanks again.
sam.h
This is a bug, I have a ticket in with SESI (id 36700). The solution is to do exactly what you did
SpencerL
Are you writing out your particles as a .bgeo sequence before rendering? Always best to write out sims, especially if you are rendering.
